About this Event

Putting yourself out there is never easy—but when it’s the difference between more or less funding, it’s time to act.

This applied learning session explores human-centered tools to make successful grants simpler and more compelling!

If you’ve got a grant in mind, want to start a new project, or have a big idea suitable for government funding; we’ll explore the steps of writing a great grant proposal (from research to storytelling) and help you move closer toward your funding goals.

This session is 100% free and open to anyone or any organization. Your pursued grant will not be openly discussed.

Agenda

Why are we interested in this grant?

There will always be different perspectives on why a grant is valuable. This section seeks to identify value in health outcomes, financial benefits, brand representation, and more!

Why would the granter be interested in us?

Using terms to align with a grantor’s mission, goal, and briefs to explain better why our organizations are a good fit for the grant.

Should we apply for this grant?

A brief sense-check on whether we’d like to continue forward with the grant.

Designing the Story

Every grant proposal needs a good narrative hook. This section used design criteria to identify what we need to include (quotes, case studies, data points) in the final proposal.

Critical Next Steps

It’s time to move. Who’s going to message our partners? Who’s going to pull the data? Who’s going to write the actual proposal?
